[2019] BANK PO EXAM PATTERN

Several changes have been made to the pattern of bank PO exams in recent time. exams conduct through online /CBT (computer-based test ) mode. Here you will read all about the latest pattern for Bank PO exam.

               👇There are 2 levels of bank PO exam 👇

                1.   Written (pre, mains and descriptive)
                    2.   personal interview



                          1. written

There are 3 sections, English, numerical ability and reasoning consisting of 100 questions and candidates get 60 minutes (20 minutes for each section) in total to attempt all the questions. candidates get 1 number for every correct answer whereas a negative 0.25 for every wrong answer. You have to secure minimum qualification mark to attend the next stage which is Mains.  Following chart shows the pattern for bank PO exam pre  

There are 5 sections in bank PO mains exam, consisting of 155 questions and a total of 200 marks. Time allotted for each section separately. There is a provision for negative marking for each wrong answer. total time allotted for Mains exam is 180 minute. The descriptive paper also conducts with mains exam. It consists of  2 questions, 1 letter writing, and  1 essay. total marks for this is 25. this is also computer based which means you will have to type the letter and essay using a keyboard. Please note that your descriptive paper will be checked only if u will get minimum qualifying marks in mains exam. Following chart shows the pattern of bank PO mains exam:-

           

                    2. Interview


After you secure minimum qualifying marks in mains written exam, you will be called for personal interview. You will go in front of a panel of 4 or 5 interviewers, they will ask u questions about recent happening, about your education background etc. in simple words, they can ask u anything. the personal interview process will consist of 100 marks, out of which 40 is the passing marks for general and 35 for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD.

The final merit list will be made based on mains written exams and your performance in the personal interview.
